Episode 97: The Return of Optimus Prime Part 2 with Wendy Mays

97 Optimus

It’s the conclusion of The Return of Optimus Prime and our amazing guest is Wendy from Pet Cinematary. Listen to it here:

Wendy’s Insane Moment was a reference to The Warriors:

97 Warriors

Adam’s Insane Moment was when the Matrix healed everyone and “The Touch” played:

97 The Matrix Heals

And Kevin’s Insane Moment was when a crazy space spider tried to eat Goldbug (aka Bumblebee):

See you in a couple of weeks!

Episode 96: The Return of Optimus Prime Part 1 with Jon and Nick from Stranger Still

96 Optimus Returns

It’s a big episode this week as… well, Optimus Prime Returns. I mean, it’s in the title. Listen to it here:

Download it here: Episode 96 The Return of Optimus Prime Part 1

As we get closer and closer to the end of the original Transformers cartoon, our All-Star Guests continue coming. This episode we are joined by the hosts of the excellent podcast Stranger Still, Jon Beigen and Nicholas Wood! Nick also does the Hanna-Barbera based cartoon review show Limited Cel with his dad, but you can find it at the same link. If you’re looking for specific episodes to start with, the PETA episode of Stranger Still and the Banana Splits Adventure Hour on Limited Cel were both good.

Jon’s Insane Moment was when a bunch of the Autobots got infected by the rage virus:

Nick chose the moment when they were juuuust about to melt Optimus Prime’s body down:

Adam enjoyed seeing Rodimus build a team and having all of them transform back to back (careful if you’re playing the drinking game during this sequence):

96 Transform and Roll Out

And Kevin loved it when Rodimus Prime transformed to jump over an infected Ultra Magnus, then transformed back and drove away:

All right, join us next time for the conclusion of The Return of Optimus Prime and another of our amazing guests!

Episode 93: Call of the Primitives

Oh boy this is a good one! You can listen to it here:

Download it here: Episode 93 Call of the Primitives

We have a lot of Still Shots for you this week, starting with a couple of new Decepticon cassettes named Slugfest and Overkill:

93 Slugfest and Overkill

Sky Lynx shows up looking all stretched out:

93 Stretched Out Sky Lynx

Then Unicron shows up with his whole face turned to rock:

93 Unicron's Rock Head

And then the villain of the episode, Tornedron, shows up at the end and suddenly has a funky face:

93 Tornedron's Face

That’s not to mention the Oracle, which looks like this:

93 Oracle

Then, Hun-Grr does this amazing thing where he eats rocks and simultaneously spits them out:

93 Hunn-Grr's Rocks

Then we finally get to Adam’s Insane Moment in which Trypticon is defeated by Tornedron and falls on Grimlock:

93Trypticon Dies

And THEN Tornedron takes out the cassettes in a great sequence by becoming a tiger:

93 Tornedron Kills Cassetes

Whew! Join us in a couple of weeks for another episode!

Episode 79: Surprise Party

Our unplanned hiatus is over… and this is the episode we get?

Listen to it here:

Download it here: Episode 79 Surprise Party

It wasn’t one of our favorites, but you can’t deny that there was some wacky stuff in here. Kevin’s Insane Moment was this unimpressive set of jets on a fake asteroid:

Adam’s Most Insane Moment was this fight between Ultra Magnus and Cyclonus, who seem to be forming the show’s biggest rivalry:

Thanks for sticking with us! We’ll be back in 2 weeks with another episode!

Episode 74: Chaos

The show bounces back after last episode’s lackluster showing with a story that centers on the Autobot Kup. You can listen here:

Download it here: Episode 74 Chaos

Any episode where Grimlock puts his arms on someone’s shoulders and shakes them is all right by me:

74-grimlock-grabs-kups-shoulders

As for Insane Moments, Adam really enjoyed Kup dropping these keys and abandoning these prisoners:

74-kupp-abandons-prisoners

Kevin’s Insane Moment was Predaking producing a lightsaber and slicing off this rock:

74-predaking-slices-a-boulder

Next episode has a title that we are very interested in, so let’s hope it’s a great one! See you then!

Episode 70: The Five Faces of Darkness Part 3

We start to really get into some interesting stuff this episode and it even has a new animated opening, which is pretty cool. You can listen here:

Download it here: Episode 70 The Five Faces of Darkness Part 3

Kevin Most Insane Moment was just Galvatron transforming, because what is up with his gun? He throws it away and then grows a new one?

70-galvatron-transforms

But Adam’s Most Insane Moment might take the cake. Galvatron fires into a storm on Jupiter (or maybe one of its moons?) and… this happens:

Stick around to the end to hear us thank some fans and give a couple of shout outs.

And we’re almost definitely moving to a bi-weekly schedule for a bit. Hope everyone will stick with us until we can get back on a truly weekly schedule. Thanks!
