Episode 66: Transformers The Movie Part 1 of 2

We’re finally back!

The long hiatus is over and we’re back with the much-anticipated animated movie. This week we’re doing our audio commentary track for the first half of the film, along with an intro and outro (including our weekly segments). You can listen to it here:

Download it here: Episode 66 Transformers The Movie 1 of 2

We had a blast recording this episode, and you can probably tell by how long the gifs are this week. Adam’s Insane Moment was the battle between Soundwave and Blaster’s minions, with a dash of Perceptor for good measure:

Kevin’s Insane Moment was the Dinobots going all out against Devastator (how crazy is it that Adam passed on the Dinobots moment!):

Join us next week for Part 2, and then we’ll release just the full commentary the week after. And if you haven’t already, subscribe to the show!

Oh, and it’s International Podcast Day so be sure to check out the site: https://internationalpodcastday.com/

Japan Special: Scramble City with the Hosts of Transmissions

It’s a very special episode this week as we review Scramble City, the Japanese episode intended to bridge Season 2 and the animated movie. On the show this week we are excited to be joined by three of the four hosts of the Transmissions Podcast , Darryl, Charles, and Jeremy. Our conversation over Skype might not be the best audio quality we’ve ever had, but the content should make up for it since these guys know WAY more about the Transformers than we do!

Listen to it here:

Download it here: Episode 65.1 Scramble City

Since the episode is in Japanese, don’t expect audio clips for the dialogue this week, but get ready for five whole insane moments!

First, Darryl really enjoyed when Metroplex blasted the Decepticon Combiners with a huge shot from his gun:

65-1 Metroplex Fires

Then Charles wanted us to get into the surprise appearance of Trypticon at the end of the episode:

65-1 Trypticon Appears

Then Jeremy pointed out that Wild Rider (the Decepticon Combaticon) joining Superion as his leg was pretty nuts:

65-1 Wild Rider Slips In

Adam just wanted to have a gif of the big Superion transformation sequence:

65-1 Form Superion

And finally Kevin loved the bit where Scramble Power was on full display:

65-1 Scramble Power

Thanks again to the Transmissions guys! Be sure to check out their podcast, and we hope to be back in two weeks with the first half of our audio commentary for the animated movie!

Podcast Episode 46: Child’s Play

This week’s episode involves baseball and a planet of giants. Seriously. It’s pretty amazing. You can listen here:

Download it here: Episode 46 Child’s Play

Adam brought up Christmas Specials again as soon as he saw Ravage running through the air like a reindeer:

Ravage Is a Reindeer

And Kevin’s Insane Moment was when Soundwave picked up a human and threw them like a baseball:

Soundwave Pitches a Human

We really don’t think next week’s episode can outdo the crazy in this one, but join us again as we find out!

Podcast Episode 41: Making Tracks

I know we always say this, but this week was another crazy episode in which the Autobots have a surprise new base and make a new friend. Oh, and we focus on Tracks, an Autobot we haven’t seen much of before. You can listen to it here:

Download it here: Episode 41 Making Tracks

We have a bonus gif for you this week when Blaster decides to drastically change his size during a transformation:

Adam’s insane moment was Sideswipe doing a wrestling move on Ravage:

And Kevin’s Insane Moment is possibly the longest one we have ever done, and includes new character Raoul taking out Megatron with a can of spray paint:

See you next week!

Podcast Episode 35: Desertion of the Dinobots Part 1

This week the Dinobots have had enough and decide to jump ship, and it is AMAZING! You can listen here:

You can download it here: Episode 35 Desertion of the Dinobots Part 1

Adam and I both loved Jazz’s transformation so much we made it a bonus gif:

We’re taking a week off for Christmas so we’ll see you again in 2 weeks for the (hopefully) amazing finale!

Podcast Episode 32: Megatron’s Master Plan Part 2

The Decepticons have won and the Autobots are seconds from being destroyed when this week’s episode opens. So, join us as we find out what kind of nonsense allows the Autobots to win the day anyhow! You can hear it here:
