Episode 70: The Five Faces of Darkness Part 3

We start to really get into some interesting stuff this episode and it even has a new animated opening, which is pretty cool. You can listen here:

Download it here: Episode 70 The Five Faces of Darkness Part 3

Kevin Most Insane Moment was just Galvatron transforming, because what is up with his gun? He throws it away and then grows a new one?

But Adam’s Most Insane Moment might take the cake. Galvatron fires into a storm on Jupiter (or maybe one of its moons?) and… this happens:

Stick around to the end to hear us thank some fans and give a couple of shout outs.

And we’re almost definitely moving to a bi-weekly schedule for a bit. Hope everyone will stick with us until we can get back on a truly weekly schedule. Thanks!

Episode 69: The Five Faces of Darkness Part 2

Season 3 continues with an episode we enjoyed considerably more than the first part. And are some deep secrets being hinted at this week? Interesting… Listen to it here:

Adam’s Most Insane Moment was Grimlock actually eating someone’s gun:

And Kevin’s happened immediately after that and it was Rodimus Prime getting knocked about by the Decepticon’s gun’s butts:

See you next week for Part 3!

Episode 68: The Five Faces of Darkness Part 1

We’re officially into Season 3 this week at the start of a 5 parter that picks up straight from the events of the movie. So, spoilers for the movie abound, obviously. Listen to it here:

We did have a lot of fun, starting with seeing Spike and Daniel again, along with Carly:

And later on Rodimus Prime and Grimlock did some awkward spying:

Kevin’s Most Insane Moment was when Spike just… disappeared:

And Adam’s was new character Outback (who we LOVE) throwing this bomb thing a very long way:

We’re glad to be back and we hope you’re glad to see us!

Episode 67.1 Transformers The Movie Full Commentary

All right, gang! Here is the full audio commentary that we recorded for Transformers The Movie without any of the intros and outros so you can watch it straight through. We recorded this while watching the 20th Anniversary DVD edition and we’ve heard that some listeners are having trouble with syncing it correctly, so we apologize for that. But hopefully you can enjoy watching and listening along with us!

Listen to it here:

Next week (hopefully) we’ll be starting Season 3, so we’ll see you then!

Episode 67: Transformers: The Movie Part 2

It’s finally here! After our weird audio issues we have the second half of our audio commentary for the movie. Listen to it here:

Adam’s Insane Moment was the dance party the Autobots and Junkions had:

And Kevin’s Insane Moment was the Dinobots’ attack on Unicron:

Next week will be the commentary with no interruptions and then we’re back with Season 3!

Episode 66: Transformers The Movie Part 1 of 2

We’re finally back!

The long hiatus is over and we’re back with the much-anticipated animated movie. This week we’re doing our audio commentary track for the first half of the film, along with an intro and outro (including our weekly segments). You can listen to it here:

Download it here: Episode 66 Transformers The Movie 1 of 2

We had a blast recording this episode, and you can probably tell by how long the gifs are this week. Adam’s Insane Moment was the battle between Soundwave and Blaster’s minions, with a dash of Perceptor for good measure:

Kevin’s Insane Moment was the Dinobots going all out against Devastator (how crazy is it that Adam passed on the Dinobots moment!):

Join us next week for Part 2, and then we’ll release just the full commentary the week after. And if you haven’t already, subscribe to the show!

Japan Special: Scramble City with the Hosts of Transmissions

It’s a very special episode this week as we review Scramble City, the Japanese episode intended to bridge Season 2 and the animated movie. On the show this week we are excited to be joined by three of the four hosts of the Transmissions Podcast , Darryl, Charles, and Jeremy. Our conversation over Skype might not be the best audio quality we’ve ever had, but the content should make up for it since these guys know WAY more about the Transformers than we do!

Listen to it here:

Download it here: Episode 65.1 Scramble City

Since the episode is in Japanese, don’t expect audio clips for the dialogue this week, but get ready for five whole insane moments!

First, Darryl really enjoyed when Metroplex blasted the Decepticon Combiners with a huge shot from his gun:

65-1 Metroplex Fires

Then Charles wanted us to get into the surprise appearance of Trypticon at the end of the episode:

65-1 Trypticon Appears

Then Jeremy pointed out that Wild Rider (the Decepticon Combaticon) joining Superion as his leg was pretty nuts:

65-1 Wild Rider Slips In

Adam just wanted to have a gif of the big Superion transformation sequence:

65-1 Form Superion

And finally Kevin loved the bit where Scramble Power was on full display:

65-1 Scramble Power

Thanks again to the Transmissions guys! Be sure to check out their podcast, and we hope to be back in two weeks with the first half of our audio commentary for the animated movie!
